Please be aware and make your employees aware of dramatic increase in illegal CME Accreditations flipping throughout the Arabic Gulf countries. The scam involves hospitals and medical establishments posing as “International CME Accreditations” – offering purchase Seal of Accreditation from USA. The scam is most prevalent in new hospitals and high-end medical establishments, particularly in UAE and Saudi Arabia by American Academy of Continuing Medical Education (AACME).

Background

The American Academy of Continuing Medical Education (AACME) is a website establishment that advertise heavily through its fraudulent owner Ayman Nashashibi, a Jordanian citizen.

In 2001, with the help of his relatives in Jordan, Mr. Nashashibi tried to pull his first International scam on Jordanian government, but fortunately he failed. He tried to recruit an American physician to join his illegal activities. At first, the physician didn’t suspect any foul play and even designed and paid for the AACME logo and traveled with Mr. Nashashibi to Jordan, thinking that it was a legitimate organization. This physician left the AACME as soon as he discovered that AACME was a one-man scam solely owned by Mr. Nashashibi. He never recovered any of his expenses that he paid for traveling to Jordan or even for the AACME logo.

In 2003, Mr. Nashashibi was charged with embezzlement in the State of California (by the county court). In 2004, he changed his name to Andrew Nashashibi and redesigned his website (See AACME Website Archive).

Later on, Mr. Nashashibi moved his fraudulent activities to target the rich Arabic Gulf Countries via some of his family members, who live in these countries. His website wasn’t even designed in USA. It was completed by Asif Kilwani, who works as a webdesigner in UAE (See Designer's Portfolios).

In addition to his so-called CME Accreditation business, he also works as an exporter and importer in Jordan. One of his import businesses involves the import of house-maids from Indonesia and other East Asian countries (see his answer to one of Internet Ads requesting to email him details about one of the house-maids at: info@aaocme.org). Yes it is the same email that he uses for his fraudulent AACME activities.
